Volleyball Recap: Tupelo Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Tupelo can now relate to. They came up short against the Madison Central Jaguars on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Golden Wave haven't had much luck with the Jaguars recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

While Tupelo ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-18, 25-19.

Tupelo's defeat dropped their record down to 21-14. As for Madison Central, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-10 record this season.

Tupelo does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Madison Central, they will be playing in front of their home fans against DeSoto Central at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
