Volleyball Recap: Hansberry Takes a Loss

Hansberry was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Golder Panthers. If the Bengals were looking for revenge after losing 2-1 to the Panthers when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

While Hansberry was not able to win a set, they sure kept things interesting: every set was decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-22.

Hansberry's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Golder, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hansberry will face off against Noble Street College Prep at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Golder, they will venture away from home to challenge Beacon Academy at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday.
