Softball Recap: Lebanon Takes a Loss

Lebanon lost against Beech back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Lebanon took a 17-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of Beech. The Blue Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lebanon got a good showing from McKenzie Jordan, who tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off five hits. Jordan has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Keeli Davis stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she scored two runs while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Caitlin Greer, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

Even though they lost, Lebanon kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in May of 2024.

Lebanon now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Beech, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-6 record this season.

Lebanon will head out on the road to challenge East Robertson at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last four games East Robertson has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Beech, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Gallatin at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
