Football Recap: South Takes a Loss + How To Watch

South had lost four straight at home dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 0-4 to make it five. They lost 25-0 to the Uxbridge Spartans. While losing is never fun, the Colonels can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts football rankings (they are ranked 137th, while the Spartans are ranked 49th).

As for Uxbridge, their win bumped their record up to 4-0. They haven't had any issues with South recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Camden Lachapelle was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 205 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 7.1 yards per carry. His rushing production has been exceptional for a while as that marked his 16th straight game with at least 131 rushing yards dating back to last season.

Coming up, South will head out to take on Marlborough at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers' defense has only allowed 8.5 points per game this season, so the Colonels' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Uxbridge, they will welcome Auburn at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Spartans will need to watch out since the Rockets have now posted at least 31 points in their last three matchups.
