Southern Wake Academy had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 58.4 points) and they went ahead and made it ten on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 56-38 win over the Chatham Charter Knights. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 126th, while the Knights are ranked 349th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Chatham Charter's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Brennan LaVelle, who almost dropped a double-double with 15 points and nine rebounds, and Gabe McKoy, who posted eight points in addition to five assists and four steals. The dominant performance also gave McKoy a new career-high in blocks (two). Another player making a difference was Breylan Harris, who put up four points.

Southern Wake Academy's victory bumped their record up to 24-4. As for Chatham Charter, their loss dropped their record down to 19-10.
