Basketball Recap: Oakridge Takes a Loss

Oakridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost to the Montague Wildcats at home by a 43-27 margin. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 492nd, while the Wildcats are ranked 134th).

Oakridge's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Montague, they pushed their record up to 7-3 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

When Oakridge and Montague next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Oakridge will square off against Ludington and their four-game winning streak at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Similarly, Montague will try to stop Shelby's eight-game winning streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
