Millard South had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 13-run drubbing they dealt Lincoln North Star on Saturday. The Patriots' pitchers stepped up to hand the Navigators a 13-0 shutout. The Patriots might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by six runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Sorynn Molgaard, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Makenzi McCoy, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one run.

Millard South always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .640. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Millard South's win bumped their record up to 11-12. As for Lincoln North Star, they dropped their record down to 5-12 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Coincidentally, Millard South and Lincoln North Star will both be playing Staley the next time they take the field. The Navigators will host the Falcons at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Patriots will play them later in the day, at 1:00 p.m.
