Basketball Recap: Bluffton Has No Trouble Against Arlington

Bluffton hadn't done well against Arlington recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Pirates strolled past the Red Devils with points to spare, taking the game 66-48. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Pirates also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2022.

Greta Myers had an outrageously good game as she shot 64% from the field to rack up 26 points and five boards. The last time her field goal percentage was this high was back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Maelee Miller, who posted 11 points and five rebounds.

Bluffton has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 65.0 points this season. As for Arlington, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Bluffton will take on Benjamin Logan at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Arlington, they will head out to square off against Arcadia at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Red Devils' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
