Soccer Game Preview: Crested Butte vs. Telluride

The Crested Butte Titans will take on the Telluride Miners at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Crested Butte is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.8 goals per game this season.

Crested Butte's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed two weeks ago. They put the hurt on Fountain Valley with a sharp 7-0 win. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for Crested Butte considering their one-goal performance the match before.

Their offense was hitting Fountain Valley from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Matias Bonnaterre led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, Telluride waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with nine straight wins... but they left with ten. They came out on top against the Cowboys by a score of 2-0. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Telluride were the better team in the second half.

Telluride's victory bumped their record up to 12-2. As for Crested Butte, their win bumped their record up to 9-2-1.
