Basketball Game Preview: Deshler Tigers vs. West Point Warriors

Having just played yesterday, the Deshler Tigers will get right back to it and host the West Point Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Deshler took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Brooks 59-57.

Meanwhile, after a string of eight wins, West Point's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 76-65 to Russellville. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (64), the Warriors still had to take the loss.

Deshler's victory bumped their record up to 11-9. As for West Point, their loss dropped their record down to 16-5.

Deshler came out on top in a nail-biter against West Point in their previous matchup back in November of 2021, sneaking past 63-60. Will Deshler repeat their success, or does West Point have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
