Basketball Game Preview: Edison Tigers vs. Sanger Apaches

Edison is 2-8 against Sanger since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Edison Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Sanger Apaches at 6:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Edison is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their ninth straight game on Thursday. They received a blow as they fell 42-24 to Torres. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 793rd, while the Toros are ranked 272nd).

Meanwhile, Sanger lost to Hoover on the road by a 52-34 margin on Thursday. The Apaches have struggled against the Patriots recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Sanger's defeat dropped their record down to 14-13. As for Edison, their loss dropped their record down to 6-19.

Edison came up short against Sanger in their previous meeting last Thursday, falling 38-29. Can Edison avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
