Volleyball Recap: DuQuoin Takes a Loss

DuQuoin lost against Massac County back in August, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Indians fell 2-0 to the Patriots. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lainey Vancil paced DuQuoin's offense, picking up eight kills. Vancil got some help from Kenadie Hutchens and her five assists. Finally, Addi Funk kept DuQuoin's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Massac County found their leader in sophomore Kaylee Jones, who had 11 digs.

DuQuoin's defeat dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Massac County, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season.

DuQuoin will square off against Frankfort at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Massac County, they will host Herrin at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
