After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Goodrich, Kearsley was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Croswell-Lexington Pioneers an 8-0 shutout. Considering Kearsley have won six matchups by more than four goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Kearsley's victory bumped their record up to 10-7-1. As for Croswell-Lexington, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-9-1.

Looking ahead, Kearsley will look to defend their home pitch on Wednesday against Clio at 5:30 p.m. Kearsley will be up against Clio's rather soft defense (which has allowed 4.31 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Croswell-Lexington, they have already played their next match, a 6-0 defeat against Marysville on the 15th.
