Football Recap: Zephyrhills Christian Academy Piles Up the Points Against Marathon + How To Watch

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Zephyrhills Christian Academy). They claimed a resounding 42-6 victory over the Marathon Dolphins. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 28-0.

One reason for the win was Zephyrhills Christian Academy's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. In that department, Braden Barber was the leader with two. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 5.3 total tackles per game.

When it comes to explaining why Marathon lost on Friday, don't look at Matthew Machado. Despite the final result, he rushed for 105 yards and one TD on only 13 carries.

The win got Zephyrhills Christian Academy back to even at 2-2. As for Marathon, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.
