It was a good run, but Austin unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 61-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Milby Buffs. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Buffs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.

Despite the loss, Austin still got an impressive performance from Ashtian Glass, who posted 36 points. That was a full 69.2% of the Mustangs' points, marking the sixth time in a row Glass has earned more than a third of the team's points. Za'Riah Jenkins was another key player, putting up seven points.

Austin's defeat dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Milby, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-5.

Looking ahead, Austin won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against North Forest at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Milby will be paying especially close attention to the Mustangs' contest: after the Mustangs face off against the Bulldogs, they'll take on Milby again at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
