Volleyball Recap: Poudre Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Poudre was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Fossil Ridge SaberCats, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the SaberCats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-15, 25-10.

Maggie Foster paced Poudre's offense, picking up five kills. Foster got some help from McKenna Mehle and her ten assists.

Leading Fossil Ridge to victory were Sarah Reinhart and Shanin Pottle. Reinhart had 29 assists and four digs, while Pottle had eight digs and three aces. Reinhart is crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 16 every time she's taken the court this season.

Poudre's loss dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Fossil Ridge, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 18-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Poudre is set to take on their familiar foe Windsor at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Fossil Ridge will face off against rival Greeley West at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
