Softball Recap: Decatur Victorious

Decatur's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-6 win over the Centreville Bulldogs. The Raiders' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Sienna Potter was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was MiKayla Dierickx, who got no hits from her four at bats.

Decatur's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Centreville, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Decatur beat the Bulldogs by a score of 19-8 later that day.
