Softball Recap: Pender Patriots vs. East Columbus Gators
Pender has not done well against East Columbus recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Pender Patriots narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the East Columbus Gators 16-15. The win made it back-to-back victories for Pender.

Pender's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-3. As for East Columbus, their loss dropped their record down to 11-4.
Pender will be playing in front of their home fans against Whiteville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
