Basketball Game Preview: Unadilla Valley Storm vs. Morris Central Mustangs

The Unadilla Valley Storm will head out to take on the Morris Central Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Unadilla Valley has struggled recently with 14 losses in a row, while Morris Central will arrive with 12 straight wins.

Unadilla Valley is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Edmeston Central on Saturday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Storm were dealt a 59-32 defeat at the hands of the Panthers. While losing is never fun, the Storm can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 981st, while the Panthers are ranked 323rd).

Meanwhile, Morris Central beat Edmeston Central 61-50 on Thursday.

Unadilla Valley's loss dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Morris Central, their victory bumped their record up to 13-1.

Unadilla Valley suffered a grim 67-42 defeat to Morris Central in their previous meeting back in December of 2025. Can the Storm avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
