Softball Game Preview: Legacy Charter Eagles vs. Altamonte Christian Eagles

Legacy Charter will face off against Altamonte Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Altamonte Christian took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Legacy Charter, who comes in off a win.

On Thursday, Legacy Charter needed a bit of extra time to put away Freedom. They walked away with an 11-6 victory over the Patriots. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Lindsay Donahey made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out 12 over eight innings pitched. Those 12 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-5 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brooklynn Kowal, who scored three runs while going 2-for-4. Lillian Mimler was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Altamonte Christian had to start their season on the road on Thursday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They came up short against Trinity Christian Academy, falling 16-1.

Legacy Charter took their win against Altamonte Christian in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 10-3. Does Legacy Charter have another victory up their sleeve, or will Altamonte Christian turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
