Recap: Russell Red Devils vs. Eastern Eagles

The Russell Red Devils scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They put the hurt on Eastern with a sharp 90-64 win. With Russell ahead 45-24 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Russell found their leader in underclassman Gabe Pridemore, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 13 rebounds. That's the first time this season that Pridemore scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Tatum Fleming, who scored 17 points.

The victory got Russell back to even at 2-2. As for Eastern, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Russell will be home for the holidays to greet Fleming County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Fleming County knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past five contests -- so hopefully Russell likes a good challenge. Eastern won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Green at 7:30 p.m. on December 12th. Green is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
