Basketball Recap: Ripon Christian Starts Season with Loss at Home + How To Watch

Ripon Christian unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They lost 54-31 to the Enochs Eagles on Tuesday. The Knights were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 30-4.

When it comes to explaining why Ripon Christian lost, don't look at Haley Kootstra. Despite the final result, she posted 14 points. Another player making a difference was Annika Jung, who earned six points.

Alivia Pierce was a one-woman wrecking crew For Enochs. as she went 7-for-11 on her way to 15 points along with six assists and six steals. Pierce is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 13 games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniella Barba, who had six points and five assists.

Enochs has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Ripon Christian is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will square off against Denair at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Enochs, they have already played their next game, a 64-19 victory against Johansen on the 26th.
