Basketball Recap: California Lutheran Starts Season with Win Against California Military Institute + How To Watch

California Lutheran gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They took down the California Military Institute Rough Riders 63-46. For the C-Hawks, this counts as revenge for the 45-43 win the Rough Riders walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2021.

Leading California Lutheran to victory were Tyler Treder and Ezra Seow. Treder dropped a double-double with 35 points and 18 boards, while Seow went 10-for-19 on his way to 25 points in addition to six assists and six rebounds. Treder has been hot, having posted 19 or more points the last eight times he's played.

California Lutheran smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 18 consecutive matchups dating back to last season.
