Volleyball Game Preview: Rocky Grove Orioles vs. West Middlesex Big Reds

Rocky Grove hasn't had much luck against West Middlesex recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Orioles will square off against the Big Reds at 7:15 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Rocky Grove will bounce into Tuesday's match after beating Lakeview, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Orioles came out on top against the Sailors by a score of 3-1 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Orioles.

While Rocky Grove might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Lakeview scored at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-18, 22-25, 25-21.

Anna Rodgers was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 12 digs.

Rocky Grove was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 12 consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, West Middlesex made easy work of Farrell on Tuesday and carried off a 3-0 win.

West Middlesex never let Farrell on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-22, 25-19.

Rocky Grove's record is now 12-5. As for West Middlesex, their record now sits at 5-12.
