If Ashland wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Tomahawk, they should've done a better job of containing Shelby Borowski. The Hatchets put the hurt on the Oredockers with a sharp 3-0 win on Thursday for which the team can thank Borowski, who had nine digs and two aces. She has been hot recently, having also posted 12 or more assists the last four times she's played.

While Tomahawk won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-11, 25-22.

Tomahawk now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Ashland, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tomahawk will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Antigo at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, Ashland and Hayward will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Hurricanes will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Oredockers surely won't give up without a fight.
