Centennial hadn't done well against King recently (they were 0-8 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Centennial Huskies came out on top against the King Wolves by a score of 3-1. For the Huskies, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 victory the Wolves walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Centennial had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-8, 25-21, 25-19.

The win made it two in a row for Centennial and bumps their season record up to 11-8. As for King, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-13.

Looking ahead, Centennial and Hemet will meet in a dog eat dog contest at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. King will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Roosevelt at 5:45 p.m. on April 8th.
