Flag Football Recap: Mother McAuley Takes a Loss

Mother McAuley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 31-20 to the St. Laurence Vikings. While losing is never fun, the Mighty Macs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois flag football rankings (they are ranked 114th, while the Vikings are ranked 16th).

Mother McAuley's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for St. Laurence, they pushed their record up to 19-4 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Coincidentally, Mother McAuley and St. Laurence will both be playing Fenwick the next time they take the field. The Vikings will head out to face the Friars at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Mighty Macs will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
