Molly Roseen made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over five innings pitched. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two hits in eight consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Isabella Trask, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run and three RBI. Isabel Chavez-Berman was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
Davis Sr. kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are a perfect 9-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, while Folsom scored more runs than they have all season, the final result was a bit underwhelming. Neither they nor Franklin could gain the upper hand on Tuesday so the two teams had to settle for a 14-14 draw. The Bulldogs' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Davis Sr.'s win bumped their record up to 10-2. With that draw, Folsom's record moves to 4-2-2.
Folsom's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Davis Sr. has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 11.2 hits per game. It's a different story for Folsom, though, as they've been averaging 10 hits. Given Davis Sr.'s sizable advantage in that area, Folsom will need to find a way to close that gap.
