Softball Recap: Paris Takes a Loss

Paris was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 19-4 to the George Rogers Clark Cardinals. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cardinals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-0 last Tuesday.

Paris saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kay Oliver, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Paris' loss dropped their record down to 11-7. As for George Rogers Clark, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-2.

Coming up, Paris will square off against Frederick Douglass at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for George Rogers Clark, they will challenge Pendleton County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Cardinals are facing the Wildcats at the right time seeing as the Wildcats are stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
