Basketball Game Preview: Mid Peninsula Wolverines vs. Superior Central Cougars

The Mid Peninsula Wolverines will challenge the Superior Central Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Mid Peninsula is looking for their season's first win.

Last Friday, Mid Peninsula had to suffer through a 71-20 loss at the hands of Carney-Nadeau.

Meanwhile, Superior Central hadn't done well against Stephenson recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. In a tight match that could have gone either way, Superior Central made off with a 37-36 victory over Stephenson. While the Cougars didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Mid Peninsula's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Superior Central, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

Mid Peninsula didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Superior Central in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, but they still walked away with a 47-42 win. Will Mid Peninsula repeat their success, or does Superior Central have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
