Basketball Recap: Rock Academy Falls Despite Big Games from Nevaeha Noguera and Brooke Rodrigues

After flying high against Orange Glen last Wednesday, Rock Academy came back down to earth. The Rock Academy Warriors took a 32-26 hit to the loss column at the hands of the O'Farrell Charter Falcons. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2023.

Despite the defeat, Rock Academy had strong showings from Brooke Rodrigues, who posted 13 points, and Nevaeha Noguera, who put up eight points and 12 rebounds.

Leading O'Farrell Charter to victory were Joniah Cashwell and Liona Rusom. Cashwell went 5 of 7 on her way to 12 points and four steals, while Rusom had five points and ten steals.

Rock Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for O'Farrell Charter, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

Rock Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 41-23 victory against Clairemont on the 17th. As for O'Farrell Charter, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 49-11 win against Guajome Park Academy on the 14th.
