Baseball Recap: Sandwich Takes a Loss

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Sandwich's offense. They fell just short of the Johnsburg Skyhawks by a score of 2-0 on Wednesday. The loss continues a trend for the Indians in their meetings with the Skyhawks: they've now lost five in a row.

Sandwich's defeat dropped their record down to 14-14-1. As for Johnsburg, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sandwich will square off against Somonauk at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Johnsburg, they will take on Lake Forest at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. The Skyhawks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Scouts have averaged an impressive 8.1 runs per game this season.
