The Northwestern Lehigh Tigers will face off against the Jim Thorpe Olympians at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Northwestern Lehigh is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.5 runs per game this season.

Northwestern Lehigh is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Pen Argyl just ended the team's six-game winning streak on Monday. They fell just short of the Green Knights by a score of 5-4.

Northwestern Lehigh saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Watson Church, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases and one run. Cannon Fitch was another, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Jim Thorpe came up short against Pottsville on Saturday, falling 11-4. The defeat continues a trend for the Olympians in their meetings with the Crimson Tide: they've now lost four in a row.

Noah Pastor was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Lazorick, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Jim Thorpe now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Northwestern Lehigh, their loss dropped their record down to 12-2.

Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Northwestern Lehigh has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.1 hits per game. However, it's not like Jim Thorpe struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.5 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
