Basketball Game Preview: Greer Yellow Jackets vs. Eastside Eagles + How To Watch

The Greer Yellow Jackets are taking a road trip to square off against the Eastside Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Greer has given up an average of 63.5 points per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Greer is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took a 91-79 hit to the loss column at the hands of James F. Byrnes on Friday. The defeat continues a trend for the Yellow Jackets in their meetings with the Rebels: they've now lost four in a row.

Meanwhile, Eastside had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They enjoyed a cozy 80-66 win over the Wildcats.

Greer better keep an eye on Brandon Ray. He was instrumental in Eastside's win, shooting 68% from the field to rack up 44 points. The game was Ray's third in a row with at least 18 points. Thomas Rouse was another key player, going 7-for-10 on his way to 17 points and eight boards.

Eastside's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Greer, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Everything came up roses for Greer against Eastside in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, as the squad secured a 71-32 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Yellow Jackets since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
