Volleyball Game Preview: Maud Cardinals vs. Rivercrest Rebels

Maud is 1-9 against Rivercrest since October of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Cardinals will be playing in front of their home fans against the Rebels at 4:30 p.m.

Maud came up short against Detroit on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-12, 25-13.

Meanwhile, Rivercrest posted their closest win since September 4th on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over Bowie.

Rivercrest had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 15-25, 17-25, 26-24, 25-19, 15-5.

Rivercrest's win bumped their record up to 7-16. As for Maud, their loss dropped their record down to 12-12-1.

Maud took their victory against Rivercrest in their previous meeting back in September by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Cardinals repeat their success, or do the Rebels have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
