There's no place like home for Monterey Trail, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Grant Pacers on Wednesday. That looming 3-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Mustangs yet this season.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-9, 25-19.

Callie Neufeld paced Monterey Trail's offense, picking up 18 kills. Neufeld got some help from Xumai Nguyen and her 18 assists. Aliyah Ewing controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Monterey Trail's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Grant, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Looking ahead, Monterey Trail will face off against Cosumnes Oaks at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup will give the Mustangs their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Grant, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Bella Vista at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
