Basketball Recap: Noah Bigham's Big Game Can't Quite Lead St. Helens over Molalla

If St. Helens was feeling good fresh off their 67-42 takedown of Estacada on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lions took an 81-70 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Molalla Indians on Friday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Wednesday (67), the Lions still had to take the loss.

St. Helens' loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Noah Bigham, who posted 15 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Andrew Waite, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and ten boards.

St. Helens' defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. St. Helens will head out to square off against Gladstone at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Molalla, they will take on Stayton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
