League recap: Laurel stuns Oxon Hill in upset

The biggest upset of the week belonged to Oxon Hill, who took down 175th ranked Oxon Hill, 56-26.

Wise's Chase Powell rumbled for the longest rushing play in Prince George's County 4A this season in his game against Northwestern last week. Powell scampered for 98 yards on the play and finished with 259 on the day as his team defeated the Wildcats.

Eleanor Roosevelt's dynamic duo of James Warren and Darius Major proved tough for Parkdale to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Warren threw for 119 yards and one touchdown and Major had 70 yards receiving. Mike Mofor helped Eleanor Roosevelt's passing attack out by catching two balls for 25 yards.

The Raiders' Warren and Major have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Warren has thrown for 397 yards this season, while Major, a 6-foot-0 receiver, has eight catches for 168 yards. Wise's Powell leads the league in rushing yards with 739.

Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when DaLawn Parrish's team takes on the Clippers. The Pumas' offense has recorded 213 points this season, making them No. 1 in the league, while Oxon Hill has permitted only 208 on the year.

A big matchup in Prince George's County 4A this week will be when Suitland takes on DuVal. The Rams are currently in second, while the Tigers are in fifth.

Wise extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Northwestern, 47-8. The win marks fifth in a row for the the Pumas.
