Volleyball Recap: Seymour Extends Winning Streak to Three

Seymour waltzed into their matchup on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Derby Red Raiders by a score of 3-1. That's more bragging rights for the Wildcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-10, 21-25, 25-19.

Daria Lipiec paced Seymour's offense, picking up 13 kills. Lipiec got some help from Isabelle Lester and her 19 assists. Leah Parkosewich controlled things from the service line, finishing with seven aces.

Seymour's win bumped their record up to 13-6. As for Derby, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.

Seymour will head out to face off against Shelton at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Derby, they will host Crosby at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
