Volleyball Recap: Winchendon Wapiti vs. Mount St. Charles Academy Mounties
Winchendon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Mount St. Charles Academy Mounties. The shutout was out of character for the Wapiti seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in September.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-11, 25-11.
Mount St. Charles Academy was led to victory by Sophia Baeta and Mazie Phillips. Baeta had nine digs, while Phillips hit 100% for six kills and nine digs and three aces. Phillips has been hot for a while, having posted five or more kills the last 16 times she's played.
Winchendon's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Mount St. Charles Academy, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 18-4.
As of now, neither Winchendon nor Mount St. Charles Academy have any future games scheduled.
