Montgomery is 9-1 against Santa Rosa since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Vikings will be playing at home against the Panthers at 4:30 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Montgomery made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Piner, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Vikings fell just short of the Prospectors by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. The Vikings have struggled against the Prospectors recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Montgomery saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kalee Murray, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one double.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Santa Rosa challenged Ukiah on Tuesday. The Panthers came up short against the Wildcats, falling 25-1.

Montgomery's defeat dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Santa Rosa, their loss dropped their record down to 2-9.

Montgomery got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in April against Santa Rosa by a conclusive 17-2 score. Do the Vikings have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
