Soccer Recap: Carlisle Comes Up Short

If Carlisle was riding high fresh off their 5-1 takedown of Southwest Virginia Academy back in March, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Chiefs came up short against the Virginia Episcopal School Bishops on Tuesday, falling 7-3. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Carlisle of the 8-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Carlisle now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Virginia Episcopal School, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Carlisle is set to face off against their familiar foe Westover Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Virginia Episcopal School will square off against rival Eastern Mennonite at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
