Recap: Durham Academy Cavaliers vs. Providence Day Chargers
The Durham Academy Cavaliers lost against the Providence Day Chargers back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Durham Academy bumped their record down to 4-4 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.0 points per game. As for Providence Day, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.
Durham Academy will head out on the road to face off against Northern Durham at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Northern Durham comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Providence Day, they will be playing at home against Northside Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in North Carolina (Northside Christian Academy is ranked 72nd, while Providence Day is ranked 49th).
