Volleyball Recap: Make It Five in a Row for Summer Creek

Summer Creek came tearing into Friday's match with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the North Shore Mustangs with a sharp 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Summer Creek walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-16, 25-18.

Talia Nelson paced Summer Creek's offense, picking up ten kills. Nelson got some help from Ivy Maxwell and her 33 assists. Maxwell also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Kennedy Adams, each putting up three.

When it comes to explaining why North Shore lost, don't look at Zyriah Hailey. Despite the final result, she had ten digs. Hailey is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Summer Creek's win bumped their record up to 20-14. As for North Shore, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last ten matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-22 record this season.

As of now, neither Summer Creek nor North Shore have any future games scheduled.
