Baseball Recap: Rocky River Comes Up Short

Rocky River was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 10-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Firelands Falcons.

Rocky River's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Firelands, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-8 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rocky River will square off against Westlake at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Pirates' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Demons have averaged an impressive 7.8 runs per game this season. As for Firelands, they will take on Keystone at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
