Basketball Game Preview: Desert Scorpions vs. Rosamond Roadrunners

Desert is 2-8 against Rosamond since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Desert Scorpions are taking a road trip to take on the Rosamond Roadrunners at 6:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

On Friday, everything came up roses for Desert against Mammoth as the team secured a 55-16 win. The Scorpions haven't had any issues with the Huskies recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Kern Valley typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Rosamond proved too difficult a challenge. They blew past the Broncs, posting a 58-31 win. Winning may never get old, but the Roadrunners sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Desert pushed their record up to 16-8 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 21.7 points over those games. As for Rosamond, their win bumped their record up to 20-7.

Desert was able to grind out a solid victory over Rosamond in their previous matchup back in January, winning 45-37. The rematch might be a little tougher for Desert since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
