Basketball Recap: Spring Valley Comes Up Short

Spring Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 60-40 to the North Rockland Raiders, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 173rd, while the Raiders are ranked 34th).

Spring Valley's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for North Rockland, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Spring Valley will host Carmel at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for North Rockland, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Ramapo at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
