Celeste was sadly handed a defeat on Tuesday, but Morgan Nickell did her best to prevent it. Bland had no answer to Nickell as she went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Nickell has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times she's played.

Even though Nickell couldn't lead Celeste over Bland, she won't have to wait long to try again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Sadly, Nickell's big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped the Blue Devils' six-game streak of wins at home. With the streak broken, Nickell and the Blue Devils surely have a bit of extra motivation heading into Friday's match.
