Volleyball Recap: Ponca Comes Up Short

Ponca came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the Oakland-Craig Knights. The Indians were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2017.

Emerson Ehlers paced Ponca's offense, picking up ten kills. Ehlers got some help from Elsie Keller and her 21 assists.

Ponca has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-18 record this season. As for Oakland-Craig, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-6 record this season.

Ponca does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Oakland-Craig, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-2 loss against Laurel-Concord-Coleridge on the 29th.
