Volleyball Recap: Palm Bay Beats Odyssey Charter School for Their Third Straight Victory

Palm Bay entered their tilt with Odyssey Charter School on Thursday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Titans by a score of 3-1. This was a revenge game for the Pirates: when they faced off against the Titans back in September, they had to take a 3-1 defeat.

Palm Bay walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). The final score came out to 25-14, 25-20, 12-25, 25-22.

Rachel Twardzik had an outrageously good game as she had 15 digs, eight aces, and seven kills. Those seven kills gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Audrey Swartz, who had six digs, five kills, and two aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Palm Bay was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Palm Bay's win bumped their record up to 4-10. As for Odyssey Charter School, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.

Looking ahead, Palm Bay will host Eau Gallie at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Pirates are facing the Commodores at the right time seeing as the Commodores are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Odyssey Charter School, they will take on Calvary Chapel Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
